On Tuesday, October 13, Luverne High School sophomores had the opportunity to tour a variety of businesses around town. The tours were designed to give students a look at unique future employment opportunities in the area.
The tour locations included Sanford Health, Luverne City Offices, Papik Motors, Luverne Auto Body Shop, and Christensen Broadcasting. At each stop, students toured the facility and heard from a professional about potential careers within the business and the steps they could take to pursue those careers. Students also learned about careers that require different levels of education and training.
“It showed me how many different jobs there are in Luverne,” shared sophomore Porter McClure.
The business tours provide a great opportunity for students to learn something new, explore local career options, and start thinking about their futures.
