Luverne FFA students recently traveled to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention. Members who attended included Karl Hartz, Anna Reisdorfer, Kailee Sandbulte, Aubrey Van Belle, Nyah Remme, and Olivia Lund.
The group traveled by bus with four other schools and enjoyed meeting new friends from across the region. During the trip, students toured several interesting locations, including Remington Seed Corn Production Site, the National FFA Center, Risin’ Creek Goat Dairy and Creamery, and Lincoln Tech’s Indianapolis Campus.
They also took part in fun activities such as bowling and a hypnotist show.
“I really liked the Caterpillar bulldozer assembly factory tour and the goat dairy tour. The rodeo, which all FFA members attended, was also very good,” said Mr. Bullerman, FFA advisor.
“It was a great trip with lots of time to connect with other FFA members, advisors, and leaders,” he added. “The convention had 67,000 FFA members registered—there seemed to be blue jackets everywhere you looked!”
The Luverne FFA chapter plans to attend the National Convention every other year, unless a member qualifies for nationals by placing first in state competition or SAE. In that case, those individuals would attend to represent the chapter.
