Students pose with their hats on for hat day

On Halloween Friday, the High School and Middle School held a Hat Day to raise money for a good cause. Students were encouraged to wear hats throughout the day for a small fee of $1.

All proceeds from the fundraiser were donated to the Rock County Food Shelf. The High School Student Council organized the event to increase the school’s involvement in the community.

“We wanted to find a way to give back and connect with our community,” explained Mr. Berghorst, the student council advisor. “Our student council members are aware that there is a lot of food insecurity in our community right now, and they wanted to support those who are in need.”

With great participation from students, the fundraiser successfully raised $324 to support the local food shelf.
