Last Thursday, the sophomore class at Luverne High School took part in a series of business visits throughout the community to explore potential career paths.
The goal of the tours was to help students learn about the wide range of career options available locally. Students visited Sanford, Luverne Body Shop, Papik Motors, Quality Printing, and the Luverne City Hall offices. At each stop, business representatives shared insights about their professions and day-to-day responsibilities.
High school counselor Mrs. Cook explained, “Sometimes students get stuck on a career because that is what everyone else in their family has done, so they are familiar with it.”
The visits gave students a firsthand look at the many opportunities within their own community. Luverne High School extends a special thank-you to all the businesses that opened their doors to support the sophomores.
