Editorial

We've got spirit, yes, we do!  We've got spirit, how 'bout you? By:  Samantha Gacke & Ben Uphoff This year The Echo readers are privileged to have the greatest editors of The Echo that it has ever seen this year, Samantha Gacke and Ben Uphoff.  We are both proud and honored to be the editors of our school's highly-acclaimed newspaper.  We hope to do as best we can to make your reading experience pleasurable. If you have any questions or ideas for The Echo, come and find us!  We love hearing about what we can do to help make your reading more enjoyable. The year has started off very well here at LHS, and we hope that the good trends continue.  Tennis has ended their season very well.  Cross Country is preparing for the section meet, and the Football and Volleyball teams are looking forward to the upcoming playoffs.  We are both excited to see what our teams can do. School spirit is going to be the theme of the Annual is this, so if you have any ideas or pictures that you think will help our yearbook, we would be glad to have your help.  We will need plenty of pictures from every grade and from every activity, so make sure you get out your cameras and start taking pictures!  Hopefully we can carry out our theme into our school life, like we do at the Volleyball games, where we show off all our school spirit. It is a great time cheering for our team while sporting all our colors.  While we love seeing everyone come and support all of our athletes, we would also like to remind you that sportsmanship is the key.  Sports are something to be enjoyed by all, even if your team happens to lose. At these school events remember to have fun, be an enthusiastic loser when needed, and cheer your heart out! Everywhere we go...people want to know...who we are...
