Creative Writing
Sonnet
By:  Ben Uphoff
I am forced to write this amazed sonnet.
This something that I will not regret
I shall not throw down my beloved bonnet
I must ponder and sit but not let fret
My mind is blank, my sheet is white untouched
Nothing to come of this is what is true
It is almost into my mind clutchéd
This thing, this verse but does to make me blue
All hearts and eyes upon my verse holds few
It is not a question to my poem's life
Whether or not this comes to hold bold hue
This has premade my words to not be rife
In all this I have but much creation
My verse has come through its own frustration
Sonnet
By:  Kimi Xaisongkham
I have him.  He is nothing more than less
Than something simple, not yet understood.
I shall not even force him to confess
Or answer.  I will only make him good.
Past are the hours, the years and what you know.
Keep in mind true love isn't easy to let go.
I wanted someone to believe in me.
It is hard to look through your eyes and see.
What is it that you do to make me smile
And only for me, you'd walk miles and miles.
Now it's time for us to go out and find.
Someday you will realize love can be blind.
I know that love is hard to cure and heal.
But someday you will need to learn and feel.
Bob Wade
By:  Jon Van Aartsen
We rolled up to the red traffic light
Here came a guy who threw an apple core
I could see this fellow wanted to fight
So I hit the pedal right through the floor.
Tires were screeching and blackys were made
I was in the lead but not for too long
I looked in the mirror and saw Bob Wade
He hit my back fender that was too wrong
I sped out of town at a fast rate
I saw him coming up very very fast
Now I remember I have a hot date
So I decided that this could not last
I whipped it around to China town
And that is how me and Bob Wade went down.
Meat Head

I love to life weights to build up muscle.
Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty pounds.
In this room all these guys like to hustle.
All the hour long I'm making these rounds
The plates, the dualies, the trips make my strength.
The reps and sets vary from day to day.
No time passes faster than an hour's length
Lifting weights in that room makes me not gay.
The bench, power press, and cleans work my arms
Squats, toe raisers, straight dead lift work my legs.
Just like the workers, that are on the farm.
The woman are at my feet just to beg.
Then suddenly there was a great big fart.
But it was OK it was only Mr. Bart
