Alternative Learning Program

 

Mission Statement

To meet the needs of "at risk" students in a nontraditional school setting, enabling them to find success they have been unable to achieve in a traditional school setting. All students will receive a quality education in a caring, accepting environment that recognizes individual differences. Students will also acquire positive attitudes towards themselves and others that will enable them to continue learning in a complex and ever-changing society.

Admission Procedure

Luverne High School students must be recommended by Mrs. Judson, the Luverne High School Principal, and/or Mr. Nelson, the Luverne High School Counselor. Students may also contact Mr. Fisher for information at (507)-283-8088

Hours

The Alternative High School is open during the school year Monday through Thursday from 10:00-6:00 PM. Summer hours will be determined each year based on the needs of the students.

Terms

Term 1: September 5 - November 28, 2006

Term 2: November 29 - March 1, 2007

Term 3: March 5 - May 25, 2007

Summer Term: June 4 - July 27, 2007
